Where to Buy a Gamecube Controller Adapter for Super Smash Bros. Wii U

When Nintendo announced the official Gamecube Controller Adapter for Wii U alongisde the release of Super Smash Bros. Wii U, excitement knew no limits. While both the Wii and Wii U support wireless controller technology, there is an amount of input lag, that casual gamers won't notice. It is actually small enough not to have an impact, unless you play a game just like Super Smash Bros. Wii U, where miliseconds matter and if you are not spot on, your hits will not only not connect, but your opponent is going to retailate.

For some reason, though, the official Nintendo stock of Gamecube Controller Adapters has dissapeared almost instantly and it remains to be seen, when more stock is going to be available and if it will be sufficient to meet the demand.

The good news is Mayflash have quickly come up with their own piece of hardware which, although not officially licensed by Nintendo, works just as well as the original and is regularly restocked. You can order one over on the Play Asia  site, where you can also read user reviews. Seems to work like a charm. The fact that it currently sits at the top of one of the largest on-line videogame vendors best-selling list is an indicative that throngs of gamers chose to remedy the lack of official stock this way.

Oh, and while you are at it, you might want to grab a couple of Gamecube controllers as well.
